The Vajasiškis antecedent village

Vajasiškis is a village in the Zarasai district. Everyone who visits this village says that they wish to return, most probably because the village has preserved a great deal of its authenticity and Lithuanian folk customs. It is an antecedent village. The educational programmes may take you back to the 19th century together with residents of the village and teach you crafts or simple household chores by the light of a kerosene lamp using ancient instruments – spinning, rope weaving, butter making, singing folk songs or cheerful stomping at a real evening party.
During your visit to the antecedent village, you will be sure that there is nothing better than a village meal made from ecological products based on simple, yet in many cases forgotten, recipes. And if you decide to spend the night at the antecedent village after dancing at an evening party, then you are lucky indeed! Throughout the summer, there is a 5,000 star hotel open in the apple-tree orchard in small cabins made from hay. You can also stay overnight when the weather turns cold. There are many other pleasures and enjoyable experiences waiting for you in the antecedent village.

Visitors may visit the thematic antecedent village every day, except Sunday. Of course, you need to arrange it in advance. Visitor groups of 20-40 persons are accepted.
